”Interesting/relevant career experience? Check. Strong academic background? Check. Solid GMAT
score? Check. A good fit for our program? Hmmmmmm….”
As a member of the admissions committee for Cornell’s Executive MBA Program, this is generally how
I would review an individual’s application. Most applicants have similarly strong academic profiles and
resumes; but where the admissions committee really gets to “know” an applicant is through his or her
essays – they present the best opportunity to differentiate oneself from the crowd. I feel fortunate
to be able to utilize my experience to help applicants highlight the best of themselves to admissions
committees.
I have a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from The Johnson School at Cornell University.
I have almost 15 years of experience across a wide-range of industries including higher education,
computer software, consumer goods, and hotel amenities at firms like Unilever, Viacom, and
Marubeni. I was also the Assistant Director of Admissions for the Cornell Executive MBA Program.
I look forward to assisting you in achieving your goals for higher education and subsequent career
growth!
