Bob Frenzel is a former Naval officer who spent two years with Arthur Andersen
Business Consulting as a strategy consultant after leaving the Navy and before
coming to Chicago. He is a member of Chicago's Energy group, the Investment
Banking Group, the Wine Club, Giving Something Back, and the Student Admissions
Group at Chicago. He spent last summer with Goldman Sachs' Investment Banking
Group in NYC. He has accepted a permanent position with Goldman Sach's Mergers
& Strategic Advisory group in NYC

With a bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance and experience in
insurance brokerage, pursuing an M.B.A. was a natural next step for Stacie
Frank. She chose Chicago GSB because of its strong finance program, highly
regarded reputation, and her "extremely positive experience at Admit Weekend."
In addition to serving on the Dean's Student Admissions Committee, she is a
member of the Investment Banking Group, Chicago Women in Business and the
Graduate Business Council Mentor Program. She will graduate from the GSB this
spring with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Economics. A graduate of
Villanova University, Stacie hails from the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Don, Thank you for taking the time to speak to us. I have a question about your
international admissions requirements. I understand that schools have their
reasons for specifying the kind of undergraduate degree they require for
admissions (GSB is the only school that requires the extra honors year from my
country), but I am curious about 'special circumstances' that may surround some
of us. I ask, because I do not have the extra 'honors' year required from my
country, and at the age of 28, I am now living in the US and am unlikely to go
back and get it. Do other academic programs (CFA , grad. dip.) qualify as a
'special circumstance' and if so, how should we highlight them? As a side
observation, it would be helpful if you put each country's undergraduate
requirements on your website.

professors teach cutting edge research in their fields (marketing, accounting,
finance, econ, strategy, entrepreneurship). We are breaking ground for our new
building in May

released the GSB administration appointed a committee of students and staff to
address areas to be considered for improvement. I am happy to report that based
on the recommendations of this committee we have implemented many of their
recommendations, and our students have been very pleased.

auto makers, and in varying positions.

RB - absolutely. I had a conversation today about the merits of the full-cohort
system or the flex-curriculum system. I am a huge proponent of the flexible
curriculum. It offers exposure to the areas of schooling that YOU want - not
what someone thinks you should have. It does allow you to meet a broader range
of people earlier in your school career.

Chicago for me but I am concerned about the loss of "exposure" to other
students.

appl02 - yes, but technically they have to submit an entire new application.
Therefore, their old application is not present when when the new file is
presented. If that is the case, I would mention it in your optional essay.
