Being actively involved in your student communities - visible leaders;
also helping to recruit future generation of Consortium students.
Another commitment/expectation is giving back...to your school, to the Consortium, and to your community.

There are over 20 different specializations here at Stern. You can find
a complete list and each student can choose up to three specializations
as part of your MBA program here. So you really can tailor the
curriculum to meet your exact needs. Also, you can take up to 25% of
your classes at other NYU grad schools, giving you even more
flexibility. Plus, you can find just about every industry here in NYC.

if you receive the fellowship or not.
Even if you get the Fellowship you will most likely need aid for living
expenses. Remember the fellowship covers required tuition and fees at most schools.

of responsibility and exposure to managing people. The GMAT helps us
assess if you are able to handle the quantitative rigors of the
program. Together, it gives us a holistic view of your skills.

all your application materials equally. Work experience,
recommendations, essays, academic performance, personal
characteristics, etc, are all viewed equally. Play up your strengths

If a school is ranked last, it only discouraging to the point that if
we really like you, we may not be able to offer you the CGSM
scholarship. It should not affect whether or not you are admitted.

applies to NYU Stern with the Stern application or Consortium
application is considered for merit scholarships. Priority is given to
those applying by the first deadline.

someone with 2 years or less to gain admission. You need to make sure
that you frame your experience (whatever it is) as substantive. YOU

the schools. There is a three step decision process: admission, CGSM
qualification, and finally, fellowship consideration.

will this affect my application?

Lorie, to clarify, you can only hold one CGSM fellowship at a time, so
if your number one school offers it, other schools cannot. However, a
school is not prevented from offering a fellowship or other aid that is
school based. It just cannot be deemed a CGSM fellowship.

decrease in MBA applications. Obviously that was reflected in the
number of MBA applications for underrepresented applicants as well. As
far as this year goes, it really is too early in the process to make an
accurate assessment. I think if anything, we are looking at the same
size application pool as last year.
