Were you given options as to the date of the interview?:

Yes - I had an interview in R2 coming off of the R1 wait-list. I was given the choice of two full weeks, and each day had a handful of time slots, beginning about a week and a half out from when I received word.

Could you choose the interview's location?:

No - I had to travel to Cambridge, but I wanted to, as it was what I indicated in my application.

How long were the interviews?:

45 min
Who were the interviewers?:
Administrative or admissions staff
What was the most difficult question?:
an expected one, but still a difficult one to answer: tell me about a time where you had to forge a productive relationship with someone with whom you had a personality conflict or who was difficult to work with.
What was the most interesting question?:
she delved into the details of what my company does, and how our products are tallied as "green."
Any other questions you remember?:
Tell me about a time you had to overcome opposition to an idea you were presenting. These two situations I mentioned really formed the basis of the interview, and my interviewer really delved into them, asking follow-up questions for clarification.
Did you feel prepared?:
Yes - Expect them to know your application, and to be able to answer the same questions again, but with different examples.
How did you prepare?:
Very little mock interviews. I just did a sketch out of new stories and how they could apply to different questions.
Did you receive any feedback at the end?:
No

Did you receive a tour?:
Yes - Not too great, but not too bad. Some classrooms are older than others, but all in all, it seems to allow for a nicely closenit school. Great views over the Charles, too.
What was most impressive?:
The plans for E62, opening in 2010. Doh!
What was least impressive?:
The library reminded me of a library out of the 80s, which it probably is.
Did anything change your opinion of the school? :
Yes - The focus on sustainability and offerings in my chosen field convinced me to move it up to number 1.
Was there something you wish you had known ahead of time?:
No
Suggestions for travel to the school?:
Fly or Amtrak in and take the T to Kendall Square. stay at the Le Meridien or Marriott. both are only a short walk from school, but the walk from Le Meridien, while longer, takes you past the McLaren Bldg, one of the most imposing academic structures I have seen.
What other advice can you offer future interviewees?:
relax...
