Were you given options as to the date of the interview?:
Yes - I had the option of choosing from any available times within a two week period. That could be because I was coming from the SF Bay Area and had to plan around my work schedule.
Could you choose the interview's location?:
Yes - I chose to do On-Campus. If you are living anywhere in California, I strongly suggest you take an interview on campus.
How many interviews were scheduled?:
1
How many interviewed you?:
1 - One second year MBA student interviewed me. She was extremely friendly and easy to talk to.
How long were the interviews?:
30 minutes
Who were the interviewers?:
Students
What was the most difficult question?:
"Tell me about yourself"
This completely caught me off guard. I find open ended questions harder than specific ones.
What was the most interesting question?:
The following is a unique question I was asked that I don't usually encounter in interviews. "What are your plans 5 yrs from now and 10 yrs from now"
Any other questions you remember?:
Why UCLA? Why MBA? Also, be prepared to discuss the information in your essays.
Did you feel prepared?:
No - I was scared witless and extremely nervous. Wish I hadn't been because there was no reason to be. The interviewer was really friendly. I calmed down after meeting the interviewer thank goodness.
How did you prepare?:
Read my application, especially the essays. Looked over my resume. Checked out this website (thank you to all the students who submitted responses)
Did you receive any feedback at the end?:
Yes - She told me that I would be a good fit with UCLA. I eventually was accepted, so she really meant what she said.
What was your opinion of the Faculty?:

N/A

What was your opinion of the Alumni?:
N/A
What was your opinion of the Students?:
Very friendly and easy to talk to.
What was your opinion of the Office Personnel?:
Super nice. I came into the waiting room after being out in the sun. The office person I met asked me if I wanted some water and personally brought me a cup.
Did you receive a tour?:
No - I sat in on a class, but I had to specifically sign up for that before hand. It wasn't part of the interview process.
What was most impressive?:
The campus
What was least impressive?:
I got a parking ticket
Did anything change your opinion of the school? :
No
Was there something you wish you had known ahead of time?:
Yes - One thing I forgot was my GMAT score, which I had taken forever-ago. So, remember your scores and percentiles in each section b/c when you arrive, the interviewer asks you to fill out a card with the scoring information. If you are clearly weaker in math or verbal, be prepared to discuss why.
Suggestions for travel to the school?:
Drive to the building where you need to go a day before the interview. Luckily I did that, because I was so lost the first time.
What other advice can you offer future interviewees?:
Calm your nerves and leave the worrying at the door. The interview is one moment in your life. If it doesn't work out, so what? There will be many more moments and experiences in your life that will be just as fulfilling. Just accept the fact that you can only be yourself. You can't make someone like you. Once you accept that and stay true to who you are, you will be without worry and nervousness. That's when you really shine. Good Luck
