Dear Linda,

During my application process to Wharton's MBA Program for Executives (Philadelphia), Cindy Tokumitsu's level of service, expert advice, and genuine care truly exceeded my expectations....  With her guidance and support I was able to successfully accomplish all of my goals and submit a timely application.

Cindy is extremely knowledgeable and organized. She helped me to prioritize the work that had to be done and keep pace. She was continuously in touch with me, and she was also readily accessible. Her assistance with my essays was invaluable. Her professional writing skills are unmatched, and her edits and structuring taught me a lot. I am a better writer overall having had the opportunity to work with her. I purchased the full package to engage her services, and I am glad I did because it was worth it. I don't expect to hear from Wharton regarding the status of my application for another two weeks, but I know that I gave it my all and working with Cindy was instrumental to that.

Consultant Profile: Cindy Tokumitsu

It was the right decision. My 12-plus years as a writer and editor have been exciting and fulfilling, thanks to the variety of people and projects, the ongoing learning, and the range of subject matter they have encompassed. In these years I have worked on projects as diverse as editing The Handbook of Psychiatry and the Law for a professor of psychiatry, writing many feature articles for Legal Assistant Today, serving as project manager/editor for a Prentice-Hall reference text on employee stock ownership plans, writing thousands of information science abstracts for Plenum Corp.'s ISA database, and researching and writing book-length market studies for Find SVP's Packaged Facts, Inc. In 1991 and 1992 I worked for the newsletters Small Corporation Update and Tax Update for Business Owners writing articles on benefits, tax, law, and management. From 1992 through 1997, I joined the business book publisher Quality Resources, first as acquisitions editor and then as editorial director. These positions immersed me in the business of publishing. Recent freelance projects include writing chapters for Gale Research's 1999 publication Major Marketing Campaigns Annual and regular feature articles for New York Living, a lifestyle and real estate magazine.

Without any question, however, my most important work in recent years has been with Accepted. Since mid-1998, I have been helping Accepted's clients articulate their ideas, goals, and experiences in thoughtfully crafted graduate application essays. I have worked with international clients from all over the world and with re-applicants. Happily, we have seen many successes. My clients have been accepted at the following schools: MBA and other business programs – Wharton, Stanford, Kellogg, Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Yale, UCLA, Stern, Darden, Purdue, GWU, Carnegie Mellon, INSEAD, Kenan-Flagler, Emory, MIT Sloan, London School of Business, Indiana, Fordham, UT Austin, and Southern Methodist University; law schools – Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Chicago, U Penn, U of Michigan, Hofstra, Cardozo, Fordham, Quinnipiac, George Washington U, Boston College, and Syracuse; medical schools – Wake Forest, Tufts, University of Toronto, Harvard, Jefferson, NYU, GWU, Albert Einstein, MCP Hahneman, USC, Vanderbilt, UNC, Temple, SUNY Albany, New Jersey Medical, Robert Woods Johnson, SUNY Stony Brook, Vermont, and Tulane. There is little as rewarding as hearing clients report back the good news!

My B.A. is from SUNY Buffalo (1978, art history and English).

Sounds good? Cindy Tokumitsu certainly seems to have the writing expertise and professional experience to help you whip your material into shape. But what do clients say about their experience with her? Has she truly helped previous clients? Let's take a look at client feedback.
