Accepted® Company Background
Linda Abraham founded Accepted in 1992 as a general editing service. In 1994, Linda honed in on the need for an editing service focused exclusively on college and graduate school personal statements, and saw that her experience, skills, and interests were exactly right for starting one.
A few years later, when the internet began to change from techie toy to mass medium, Linda took her business to the next step and created Accepted.com, a site that helped applicants gain admission to top schools around the globe. Business exploded and Linda hired more editors and consultants to keep up with her growing client base.
Since then, Accepted has earned a reputation as one of the most professional, reliable, and resource-rich admissions consultancies in the world. Linda and her team of 21 consultants have proven themselves as experts in the field of admissions, each bringing to the table years of experience in admissions offices, as well as writing and editing experience on a professional level.
Over the course of the last 20+ years since launching Accepted, Linda has been interviewed by news outlets such as Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, US News, Poets & Quants, and Boston Globe, and has hosted deans, adcom directors and members from top universities on her popular podcast, Admissions Straight Talk.
Linda is a founding member of AIGAC (Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants), and served as the organizations first president.
Accepted has become an informative resource for all applicants, and a provider of elite advising to those applicants desiring one-on-one assistance. Thousands of applicants have achieved their admissions goals by turning to Accepted. And then they've referred their friends based on their positive experience with Accepted's stellar staff.
With Accepted's proven track record and fantastic feedback, it's no wonder that our site, our team, and our satisfied client base continue to grow and flourish.
"I got accepted to NYU! Thank you so much for your input, you played a big role in making this happen. I am so happy! This was my first choice and it always seemed like a distant dream to me! I am in disbelief to be honest. A service well worth the investment."
