Consultant Profile: Santosh (Sam) Prasad
After serving on the Student Admissions Committee while earning his MBA from Chicago Booth, Sam launched his post-MBA career in financial services, but didn’t want to leave MBA admissions behind.
In his admissions advising, Sam emphasizes career mentorship and authentic storytelling, and shares his extensive industry and admissions experience with his clients. He has engaged with over 200 clients from diverse industries and demographic backgrounds. He has helped applicants in every stage of the MBA application process from crafting a school list and career goals, to assistance with interview preparation and wait-list strategy.
Sam served on the Student Admissions Committee while he was an MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In this role, he conducted admissions interviews and reviewed applications and essays, while working closely with the Chicago Booth Admissions team in rendering their application decisions.
Sam particularly enjoys advising his clients on how to chart their short-term and long-term career goals and tell their story in a way that resonates with admissions committees. He is known for his candid feedback and knowledge of admissions processes across many top MBA programs including Chicago Booth, Wharton, HBS, Stanford GSB, and Kellogg among others.
Sam brings a wealth of work experience to his work with clients including experience in the derivatives trading, health care, and asset management industries. He is a CFA Charter Holder and also holds the FRM designation. He earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Outside of work, Sam enjoys meditation, exercise, public policy discussions, and investing.
