J. Scott's admissions career began at UT-Austin's Honors Colloquium, where he recruited the best and brightest underrepresented high school students in Texas. He deepened his admissions expertise as a Preprofessional Advisor at NYU, where he supported prelaw and premed undergraduate students while serving as the lead committee letter writer and interviewer for premed students and a member of NYU's Postbacc Program admissions team. He later advised hundreds of undergraduate students as an Academic Advisor for the College of Arts and Science and Assistant Director of the University Learning Center, a peer-to-peer tutoring initiative. In this dual-role he helped countless students clarify their prelaw, premed, and other career objectives and also interviewed undergraduate international applicants for NYU Admissions.
