Did you feel prepared?:
Yes
How did you prepare?:
I went through the questions on this website as well as read my application thoroughly, browsed Fuqua website thoroughly and also watched a few of their podcasts. I also had communication with a few from Fuqua community and I thought it helped significantly in highlighting my interest in Fuqua.
Did you receive any feedback at the end?:
No
What was your opinion of the Faculty?:
Did not get to meet any as it was a saturday.
What was your opinion of the Alumni?:
NA
What was your opinion of the Students?:
Amazing!! Very friendly, very proactive. I have visited other schools but haven't seen so much active participation from the student community in admissions activities. I don't think I met anybody from the admissions staff at all. Everything was organized by the students and it was impeccable. Impressive!!
What was your opinion of the Office Personnel?:
Did not meet any.
Did you receive a tour?:
Yes - The tour was by 2 first year students. They seemed quite knowledgeable and excited to be in Fuqua.
What was most impressive?:
The new building, infrastructure, flags of around 200 countries, school diversity, number of activities.. the list goes on.
What was least impressive?:
They seem to have limited parking facility. Considering that one cannot rely on public transportation in Durham this is a big drawback.
Did anything change your opinion of the school? :
Yes - I was very much captured by the collaborative spirit of the students and the new building
Was there something you wish you had known ahead of time?:
No
Suggestions for travel to the school?:
I flew to Raleigh-Durham and stayed at Marriott in Raleigh. This worked out pretty well for me. It was just a 20-30 min drive from the hotel to the school. I followed their parking directions and it was easy enough to find parking since I was, I think, the first one to arrive there. A few folks stayed in Marriott nearby just 2 miles away.
What other advice can you offer future interviewees?:
During lunch with students I learned that a lot of emphasis is laid on how one would fit into Fuqua and how collaborative one is willing to be. This needs to be highlighted during the interview. You also need to show how you are going to contribute to Team Fuqua (as they fondly call themselves).
