Here's how it works:

  1. Review and critique the macro - Your consultant will review your statement of purpose and check for overall readability and interest. She checks if you have:
    • Answered the question.
    • Presented yourself distinctively.
    • Organized your statement of purpose logically.
    • Developed engaging openings and effective conclusions.

    The consultant then provides you with feedback and recommends ways to improve. You revise and send the revised versions back.

  2. Edit the micro - Although your consultant checks the macro level, she focuses on the micro, specifically clarity, grammar, style, spelling, and word usage. She then sends you drafts with suggested corrections.

  3. Submit your awesome statement of purpose!

Initial Statement of Purpose Packages

With the Statement of Purpose Package, you'll receive:

  1. Up-front guidance and advising to save you “churn time.” You introduce yourself to your consultant via a questionnaire. After reviewing the questionnaire, your consultant meets with you on the phone or Skype to get to know you better and discuss the best way to present you and your qualifications in your statement of purpose. During this brainstorming session, you will discuss a core idea, seminal experiences to include in the statement of purpose, and a structure for the statement of purpose. 
  2. An outline for your essay based on your responses in the questionnaire and the brainstorming session. The outline consists of prompts and bullet points. It is NOT a draft. Clients say that the conversation and the outline give them the direction they need to write, save time, and ultimately help them produce a superior final result. 
  3. SOP editing. Your consultant checks your essay for clarity, grammar, style, spelling, and word usage. She then sends you drafts with suggested corrections. You revise it and send it back. You then go back and forth editing and revising this statement of purpose until you are happy with it. Most statements of purpose benefit from 2-4 reviews.
