I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to update you on my graduate school applications. My interviews went well, and I got into William James College PsyD program, my first choice! I just put in my deposit this morning.

I wanted to thank you for all your help through this process. Not only did you help with my essay and application, but you gave me the confidence I needed to succeed.

I just wanted to drop a note to sing the praises of Madison Searle.  Please forward this to any other appropriate Accepted personnel.

Madison assisted our son James as he navigated the perilous college application process.  Given the significant price tag, I had some initial misgivings about securing a consultant.  Madison, however, quickly dispelled any reservations that I may have harbored.

His guidance and encouragement were phenomenal.  The entire college admissions process, including the innumerable essays and personal statements, presents an inordinately stressful experience for today’s high school students.  Madison delivered sage advice, offered key strategies and tactics for crafting original and engaging writing submissions, and instilled an overall sense of confidence . . . all of which reduced anxiety by several orders of magnitude.  Indeed, I came to have such faith in Madison’s guidance that I acceded to my son’s desire to submit his early applications without any parental review whatsoever.

My son has always been exceedingly independent and it came as no surprise that he wanted to pursue the application process without family members, no matter how well-meaning, looking over his shoulder.  So his early decision and early action applications all went out without me seeing a single word of any essay or a single line of the submission materials.  I have enormous belief in my son and his capabilities, but I confess that this level of hands-off parenting gave me some apprehension.

But my son trusted Madison.  And so did I.

When all was said and done, our son was accepted early decision to his first choice: the Cornell University College of Engineering.

Once accepted, my son finally shared his various essays and personal statements.  They were well-crafted, articulate and absolutely genuine.  That is, Madison had guided James in such a way that his true voice rang clear in each of the writing submissions.  Too often, the essays and submissions from students with consultants come across as overly polished, stilted and artificial, reeking of aggressive re-writes and straining credulity.  Madison ensured that James’s efforts reflected his own authentic vision and insights.  No doubt that served James well with the admissions officers reviewing his submissions.

Finally, Madison expressed a genuine concern for James as he prepared his applications, making himself regularly available throughout the process and providing crucial feedback and assurance.

Madison represents an enormous asset to Accepted.  We have recommended him, wholeheartedly and without reservation, to numerous other parents and students.

Though the price tag was steep, his contributions were worth every penny.

Extremely Supportive

Esmerelda is truly the best and I don’t know if I would have been successful without her. I had purchased the complete application package, and found that Esme was incredibly dedicated to my process every step of the way. She helped me brainstorm essay topics, provided extensive support with writing, editing, and framing my story to make my essays as polished as possible. As such I was invited to interview with 4 out of the 5 schools I applied for. Esme remained an incredibly valuable resource for the interview portion as well, setting aside time for use to do a mock interview for every school. In the end, I got an accepted to UNC and received a sizable scholarship and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to work with Esme. Applying to business school can be daunting but with her help the process went as smoothly as possible.

I received my first acceptance from this cycle, at Columbia University an MS in Sociomedical Sciences. It was really nice working with you and helping to push me in the right direction, your experience in these applications was invaluable.

I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out and again express my gratitude for your invaluable assistance with my Statement of Purpose and overall guidance on my grad school applications.

I received offers from several universities, including SUNY Buffalo, San Jose State, Western University in Canada, and NYU Tandon. Ultimately, I chose NYU for its flexible curriculum and the strategic New York City location. Your insightful feedback on my SOP was instrumental in securing these admits.

Thank you once more, Karin, for your generous support and time. Your advice has significantly shaped my educational journey, and I am profoundly thankful. I look forward to keeping you updated on my progress and wish you all the best for the coming year!

I was fortunate to work with Barry Rothman on my applications that required Personal History and Statement of Purpose essays. His wealth of experience in academia made this a much more tailored experience and he was able to give concrete advice on the best approach for each school. His general questionnaire teased out long forgotten but pertinent essay background information and we had some very amusing conversations. Barry is not just skilled at applications; he is a genuinely nice person and a great mentor. We had a eureka moment while attempting to collaborate by sending drafts back and forth when we realized that our writing idiosyncrasies and “OCD's” clashed. Barry was quick to suggest zoom meetings with joint corrections of the essays in real time. This greatly increased the effectiveness of each session and made the experience actually enjoyable. It is without hesitation that I recommend Barry to any prospective applicant. Have fun and good luck!
