I want to work with Dr. Chan!

In college, I served as a High School Outreach Coordinator and organized conferences that taught underprivileged high school students how to apply for college and secure financial resources to pay for college. It was incredibly rewarding to educate, coach, and inspire students to succeed. Since then, I have dedicated my entire professional career to advising college students, graduate students and working professionals.

As a Graduate Academic Advisor for the USC Computer Science Department, I advised students on selecting courses that strengthened their profile so that they would qualify for various jobs or PhD programs after graduation. As the Senior Associate Director for the USC MBA Admissions Office, I reviewed thousands of applications and interviewed thousands of prospective candidates. I also spent several years working in the USC MBA Career Center as a Career Advisor and thoroughly enjoyed helping MBA students explore/decide career paths and then coaching them to prepare for job interviews. MBA students who have worked with me have secured jobs at Deloitte, EY, McKinsey, Houlilan Lokey, Morgan Stanley, Mattel, Johnson & Johnson, Amazon, Amgen, etc. I leverage my knowledge and experiences from both graduate admissions and graduate career services to guide my clients on not only what to consider as they prepare grad school applications, but also what to consider about their long-term career goals.

I have also been an undergraduate and graduate admissions consultant for over 5 years. My clients have been accepted by Carnegie Mellon University, Columbia University, Cornell University, MIT, University of Southern California, all University of California campuses, and New York University.

I live in southern California with my husband and two children. They keep me positive and optimistic about everything that I do.

I  earned my Master of Education and Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.

I look forward to helping you realize your academic and career dreams!
